Nagad Enables Western Union International Money Transfers

Nagad, one of Bangladesh’s leading mobile financial service providers, has collaborated with Trust Bank, a prominent private commercial bank in the country, to facilitate international money transfers through Western Union. Bangladeshis worldwide can now conveniently send their hard-earned money back home into Nagad wallets.

Nagad’s Administrator Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, Trust Bank’s Senior Executive Vice President Mohammad Masud Shahjahan, and Western Union’s South Asia Regional Operations Manager Shihab Hasan recently handed over the agreement regarding this matter at the Nagad office.

Registered Nagad users can now receive remittances directly into their wallets 24/7. This includes the Bangladesh Government’s incentive of BDT 25 for every BDT 1,000 received.

Since the beginning of Nagad’s operations as a remittance service provider, approved by the Bangladesh Bank, expatriate Bangladeshis remit their hard-earned money seamlessly to their families back home through Nagad instantly and reliably. The addition of Western Union’s extensive global network means that remittances are now even faster and more convenient.

Family members of expatriate workers can receive remittances from almost anywhere in the world.
Muhommad Badiuzzaman Dider, administrator of Nagad, said, “Since the beginning of Nagad’s services, we have been trying to make people’s lives easier.

Now, Bangladeshi expatriates living in different countries can efficiently send home their hard-earned money through Nagad using Western Union’s reliable network. We are delighted to see this collaboration come to fruition.”
