The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in Bangladesh may be published on October 29, according to a senior source at the Dhaka Education Board.
The education boards have proposed publishing the results between October 25 and 29, and the Ministry of Education is expected to decide on the final date.
A senior source at the Dhaka Education Board told Prothom Alo on Thursday that October 29 could be the likely date for the announcement, as results are generally published on Thursdays. October 29 falls on a Thursday this year.
When contacted, Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, said the boards had sent a proposal to the Ministry of Education to publish the results between October 25 and 29.
He added that they expected to learn the confirmed date for the results on Sunday.
The results will cover candidates who appeared in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations across the country.
The final announcement will be made after the Ministry of Education confirms the publication date.
