Russell T Ahmed, CEO of Team Creative, has been elected as the president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the national trade body for software and IT-enabled services.
The newly elected executive committee for 2022-2023 was announced by SM Kamal, chairman of the election board, at the BASIS office on Tuesday.
The election took place on December 26.
GIGA Tech Managing Director Samira Zuberi Himika was elected as the senior vice-president, Enroute International MD and CEO Abu Daud Khan as vice-president (administration), and Pathao MD and CEO Fahim Ahmed as the vice-president (finance).
Habibullah N Karim, AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu, Mushfiqur Rahman, Syed Mohammad Kamal, Tanvir Hossain Khan, Mostafizur Rahman Sohel, and Rashad Kabir were elected as directors.
