Red Hat to empower local businesses with open source solutions

Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions, is going to expand it’s business in Bangladesh as the country is undergoing a massive digital transformation. The American multinational software company aims to strengthen the partner ecosystem and help enterprises accelerate their digital transformation across industries such as banking and finance services, telecommunications and government.

Senior officials of Red Hat India and South Asia shared their focus in the country at a press conference today on 24 April, 2019 held at the Westin Hotel. The press conference was arranged by the Red Hat to brief the media on the sidelines of the Red Hat Forum, a day long technology event.

Mr. Neeraj Bhatia, Director-Partner, Alliances & Commercial Sales and Ms. Ameeta Roy, Director – Solution Architecture and Mr. Palashendu Bhattacharya, Head of sales – State Government & Commercial Business of Red Hat India and South Asia addressed the media.

They highlighted examples of how open source can help companies facing digitization and business disruption, as well as how Red Hat has embraced rapid change and seeks to build better software through collaboration.

The software giant sees Bangladesh becoming `one of the top tech hungry country’ in few years’ time and the Red Hat is coming forward to meet the demand in a credible and sustainable way.
Neeraj Bhatia said, “the open source can accelerate innovation in Bangladesh’s digital economy. Recent industry reports indicate that cloud computing adoption in Bangladesh has gained momentum in the last few years. Red Hat hopes to empower local businesses to innovate with open hybrid cloud solutions.
