Samsung Mobile Bangladesh held the Grand Finale of ‘Samsung EDGE’ (Empowering Dreams, Gaining Excellence) recently. UIU, IUB, NSU, Rajshahi University, IBA of Dhaka University, and IBA of Jahangirnagar University participated in this program which started on April 17, 2019. 3 winning teams have received gifts worth BDT 3,00,000 in total. Among the 3 top teams, We Just Trying, IBA, Dhaka University was the champion. S10 is Love, IBA, Dhaka University was the 1 st runner-up and White Paper, IBA, Jahangirnagar University was the 2 nd runner-up.

Samsung is creating a platform for the youth of Bangladesh to work on real life business problems to engage them in creative and analytical thinking. By participating in this case competition students got the chance to interact with Samsung’s top leaders. The winning teams not only received gifts but also the tremendous opportunity of working at one of the biggest tech company in the world, Samsung.

Regarding the competition, Mr. Seungwon Youn, Managing Director of Samsung Bangladesh said, “As an organization which always nurtures the young minds, Samsung is extremely proud to have successfully conducted the grand finale of this innovative initiative. The level of enthusiasm we have received is astounding and will inspire us to do this again in future.”

Samsung has celebrated this event by offering students of participating universities a massive discount of up to 29% on all Samsung products. The students were also able to get first-hand experience of the new range of Galaxy A Series devices at their campuses during the initial events.
