Winners of Banglalink Ennovators 3.0 announced at Grand Finale

The winners of the third edition of Banglalink Ennovators, a digital ideation competition launched with a view to inspiring innovative youngsters to rethink, restart and recreate, have been announced at its Grand Finale held at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden today. The announcement was made by Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, Honorable Speaker of the Bangladesh Parliament, who was present at the Grand Finale as the Chief Guest. Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, MP, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education graced the event as the Special Guest. Also present at the event were Taimur Rahman, Acting CEO and Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink, Monzula Morshed, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, Banglalink, and other management members of the organization.

Around 17,000 youngsters from all across the country participated in the competition. The selection process had several steps designed to identify the most innovative minds. Following the selection process, the selected participants were given the opportunity to attend grooming sessions and learn from industry experts that helped them to enhance their skills. The top 5 teams presented their digital ideas at the Grand Finale. Assessing the merits of the presented ideas, the Banglalink Jury Panel selected the top three teams. Team Silver Lining, the winning team, clinched the top spot presenting its digital idea on a real-time vehicle monitoring system. Team Last Minute and Team Three And A Half Men were announced as the first runner-up and the second runner-up respectively for their digital ideas on an integrated waste management system and a digital ecosystem for authenticating daily consumable products.

The winning team will be given an opportunity to visit Banglalink’s parent company Veon’s HQ in Amsterdam, and a direct entry to the “Assessment Center of the Strategic Assistant Program” of Banglalink. The first and the second runners-up will also get a direct entry to “Assessment Center of the Strategic Assistant Program” along with attractive prizes. All the members of the top 5 teams will directly qualify for Banglalink’s “Advanced Internship Program (AIP)” and get opportunities to participate in Banglalink’s “Learn from Startups” and “Campus to Corporate Programs”.

Taimur Rahman, Acting CEO and Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink said, “Digital innovation is now considered to be a key component of sustainable development all over the world. If we encourage such youngsters to embrace innovation at an early stage, they will surely become more capable of taking our country forward by finding out innovative ways to face crucial challenges. Banglalink will continue to empower such youngsters digitally by opening up more opportunities for them.”

The Grand Finale marked the successful completion of the third edition of Banglalink Ennovators, which was launched back in 2017.  Radio Foorti was the Radio partner of Banglalink Ennovators this year.
