Videos shared on social media show him blocking the paths of women and young girls, making inappropriate gestures, and using offensive language. The videos sparked widespread condemnation, with netizens demanding legal action against him. A Facebook page named “JU Insider” identified the accused as Khalid Mahmud alias Ridoy Khan, a resident of Savar, and called for immediate action against him. During a press conference held at Savar Model Police Station on Monday evening, Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar Circle) Md. Shahinur Kabir confirmed the arrest. He stated that Ridoy Khan was detained for attempting to incite violence against women and promoting misogynistic ideologies. The accused, who is a TikToker, used social media platforms to demean women and spread harmful messages, including blaming women for rape.
