Robi and Airtel offers video call service

Robi Axiata and Airtel Bangladesh is going to introduce off-net video call from the 16th December, commemorating victory day. To introduce this service Robi has already signed a deal with Airtel BD. In addition to that they have already sought necessary permissions from Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

If all the necessary permissions are in place, all the Robi and Airtel customers will be able to enjoy inter-operator video calls thanks to high speed 3G internet.
It must be mentioned that currently all the operators are only offering native (on-net) 3G Video calls. No operators have inter-operator 3G video-call services so far. For quite a while several operators were trying to introduce inter-operator (off-net) 3G video call service due to huge demands from end users.
