More teachers to be recruited: Dipu Moni

Education minister Dipu Moni hinted at hiring more teachers on Friday to resolve the shortage of tutors at schools.

“One of the problems at educational institutions is the lack of teachers. More tutors will be recruited [to address the problem],” she said at the 50-year anniversary of Haimchar Govt Boys High School.

Dipu Moni assured that the appointment would be transparent “like it has been under the Sheikh Hasina-led government in the past.”

The minister said the government had resolved various problems plaguing the educational institutions and developed the infrastructure.
“We are addressing the issues one after another since it is impossible to do everything at once,” she said.

Upazila nirbahi officer Samar Kanti Basak presided over the programme while upazila parishad chairman Nur Hossain Patwary, deputy inspector general Nibas Chandra Majhi, Chandpur additional deputy commissioner Md Moinul Hossain, additional superintendent of police Md Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present.
