Kangana Ranaut is now a thorn in the neck of BJP

Kangana Ranaut is now a thorn in the neck of BJP

Popular Hindi cinema actress Kangana Ranaut was nominated by the BJP from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh for these three reasons: beautiful, popular.  Bhumikanya of Mandi also won the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. But gradually he is becoming a thorn in the neck of the party. His political comments one after the other have put the BJP in trouble. Eventually, the central leadership of the party was forced to say publicly that Kangana’s comments were personal. There is no reason to think that those comments are from BJP.

Not only that, the party has told him in a statement that he should not open his mouth about anything. BJP has not given such a diagnosis to anyone in recent times.

The party banned him from opening his mouth for making inappropriate comments about the farmers’ movement. Kangana never supported the farmers’ movement demanding the repeal of the Agrarian Act. Sometimes it is said that the protesting farmers are ‘terrorists’. Sometimes it is said that the women participating in the movement sat on the platform with 100 taka. It is also alleged that he was slapped by a woman jawan on duty at Chandigarh airport last June for this comment. Punitive action was also taken against the woman named Kulbinder Kaur for the same. Allegedly, the woman jawan, towards whom Kangana made the comment, is her mother. His mother participated in the peasant movement. He gave dharna day after day out of self-motivation, not for the greed of getting 100 rupees.

That Kangana got involved in the controversy by making another comment about the farmers’ movement. He recently gave an interview to a popular Hindi daily. He posted a clipping of the interview on social media. In that, he said, ‘Farmers’ movement could have created a situation like Bangladesh. But it did not happen due to the prudent leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the same post, he wrote, “There were many incidents of rape during the farmers’ movement. Many bodies were found hanging. He also said that the support of China and the United States was behind the farmers’ movement. That was their plan.

The comment on social media has sparked the BJP’s ire over the Haryana Assembly elections. Haryana assembly polls on October 1. BJP did not do well in Lok Sabha elections in that state. 5 out of 10 seats have gone to Congress. Even changing the Chief Minister did not help. Congress has stepped up to wrest the agricultural Haryana away from the BJP. In this situation, Kangana’s comments became dangerous for the BJP. To manage the situation, the BJP was forced to keep the party away from Kangana’s comments. He was forbidden to open his mouth.

But Kangana’s danger was not over, neither was BJP’s. A resolution was passed in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Tuesday condemning Kangana’s insensitive comments. The Congress is going to use Kangana’s comments in the upcoming assembly polls. The other members of the heavily anti-Sarab coalition ‘India’. AAP said that Kangana’s comment is proof of BJP’s attitude towards farmers. Maharashtra Shiv Sena (Uddhav) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote on the X handle, Kangana has not apologized for the comment. He should apologize. It is also necessary to express grief. BJP also did not express regret, while Kangana is their Lok Sabha member. From this it can be understood that whatever BJP does and says for the farmers, it is just a matter of words.

BJP’s top leadership is now pondering how to deal with Kangana’s controversial comments. BJP has been in power in Haryana for 10 years.

Since entering politics, Kangana’s professional life has been going downhill. No movie has been successful at the box office. In this situation, his new movie ‘Emergency’ has created a new controversy. ‘Emergency’ is scheduled to release on September 6. But there are demands to ban it.
