Huawei ready to provide 5G technical support in Bangladesh

The global leading ICT infrastructure and smart devices Provider, Huawei is ready to facilitate operators and the government of Bangladesh with technical support in the implementation of 5G technology. The senior Vice President of Huawei Mr. Bruce Li shared this interest to Mr. Mustafa Jabber, the honorable Posts and Telecommunications minister of Bangladesh, at his secretariat office in a meeting at Dhaka yesterday.

In the meeting, Mr. Bruce Li expressed his interest regarding the technical support and capacity Huawei. They also discussed & exchanged their opinion about different issues of 5G technology including the Challenges & possibilities, technical & infrastructural development etc.
Li shared, Bangladesh’s progress in ICT sector is remarkable. Young generation is a great resource for Bangladesh. 5G can bring numerous opportunities to this generation when they can utilize it in commercial and individual uses. Li mentioned, 40 carriers in over 20 countries are using 5G networks commercially. Huawei has already signed more than 60 commercial contracts for 5G with leading global carriers and shipped more than 400,000 5G Massive MIMO active antenna units (AAUs) to global markets. The production and supply of Huawei’s optical transmission, data communications, and IT products grew steadily. And more than 700 cities, 228 Fortune Global 500 companies, and 58 Fortune Global 100 companies had selected Huawei as their partner for digital transformation.
The minister says that they are taking all the initiatives including the design, to run 5G technology to face the challenges of the digital new world. He also mentioned 5G technology as “Incredible innovation of the ICT world”.
“This 5G technology will create a new world one day”- he added. This technology is not only for the ICT industry rather for the whole industry including agriculture, fisheries & others. It will help all the people including village farmer.
Minister says, “Bangladesh has done digital revelation in every sector”. “Digitalization is ensured to the root level like Union Parisad of the country”- he added.
The Honorable Minister applauded Huawei for its role in leading the way of digital Bangladesh with world-class advanced technology. He also thanked Huawei for technical assistance in successfully completing the 5G trial test last year. He expressed his appreciation as well for the interest of providing 3G technology for the same purpose.
