The BASIS Soft Expo 2020 marked the launch of Grameenphone Cloud Store, which took place at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB). An outcome of Grameenphone’s continued effort to value creation through modernization. A large number of SMEs and other organizations in Bangladesh mostly operate their businesses manually. There are more than 450,000 SMEs who are trying to transform from an utterly analog state to a digital one. On the other hand, more than 2,500 local software companies are developing various web applications and in need of scaling their products with a cloud-based go-to-market partner.

To empower the organizations, Grameenphone’s Cloud Store will offer a wide range of software applications and services to its enterprise client base. This platform will connect the software/application solution providers and business users by bringing them under one single umbrella.

This will be a single platform which will automate all the processes associated with selling and delivering various software applications and services and their lifecycle management, including but not limited to aggregation, cataloguing, provisioning, access control, security, auditing, monitoring, reporting, metering, billing, administrating, and user support.

Mahmud Hossain, Chief Business Officer, Grameenphone, said, “Grameenphone Cloud Store opens up an opportunity to serve our B2B clients better. An innovative cloud-based platform for enterprise segment with various software and infrastructural services. We believe it will play a catalyst role in ensuring growth, efficiency and contribute to the digital Bangladesh journey further.”

Mushfiqur Rahman, Vice President, Finance, BASIS, added, ‘Cloud computing has created a technological revolution for small businesses around the world. Using an internet connection and a Web browser, small enterprises in Bangladesh can now easily tap into software and services to access everything from data backup to customer relationship management systems. Grameenphone Cloud Store can help the small enterprises to manage their growth, lower the cost, maintain secure data backup, save time, and many other things.’

Grameenphone Cloud Store will be managed by a pool of experienced IT staff so that they can efficiently resolve any problems that the enterprises might encounter. The company will also provide 24/7 support to tackle problems that people might face with the Cloud Store.
