Dorpon organized Shakrain Mela for Ladies on Poush Sonkranti

Dorpon, the first and the largest online marketplace for handmade local products of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in collaboration with The Flag Girl has organized a fair under the name ‘Shakrain Mela’ only for ladies in the eve of Poush Sonkranti on 14 January, 2019.

Shakrain the famous festival of old Dhaka is observed by flying kites, fireworks, fairs and so on.  Dorpon and The Flag Girl jointly arranged this festival for ladies of Dhaka city to celebrate this grand traditional festival as well as procuring a business space for them.

More than 200 ladies of divergent age groups from different neighborhoods of Dhaka city has attended this festival. Dorpon organized this fair with its local handmade products. Local female entrepreneurs of Dorpon took part in the fair. The products which are the carrier of their craftsmanship were highly appreciated by the fairgoers.
