BASIS took part in the 25th Japan IT Week, Spring 2015 in collaboration with ICT Division under the Ministry of Posts Telecommunication and Information Technology during May 13-15 2015 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan.
The delekgation was led by the Honorable State Minister of ICT Division Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak where the participants were from both public and private sector. Six BASIS member companies represented the private sector, which includes HawarIT Software Service Ltd, Infocrat Solutions Ltd., DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited, Genweb2 Limited, weDevs and Systech Digital Limited. Mr. S.M. Ashraful Islam, Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council, Ms. Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and a number of other government officials also took part the event.
BASIS President Mr. Shameem Ahsan told that, BASIS has formed a group named “BASIS Japan Focus Group” to encourage BASIS member companies outsource in Japanese IT Market and attract Japanese investment in our IT sector as well. BASIS also has a Japan business support cell for the Japanese IT investors. As Japanese investors are considering Bangladesh one of the potential IT investment destinations, BASIS is expecting that a good opportunity will be created for our IT companies in Japanese IT Market.
Mr. M. Rashidul Hasan, CEO of Systech Digital Limited and Vice President of BASIS told that, the next Japan IT Week, Autumn 2015 will be held on October 2015. Government & Private organization will participate the program. There will be arranged some business to business (B2B) meeting to show our capacity in ICT.
