Bangladesh has got a sensational cutter bowler the Mustafiz from Khulna divison. Speedster Mustafizur Rahman achieved the rare feat of bagging five wickets in his first two ODIs to derail the visiting India batting line-up.
After a fairytale World Cup, Bangladesh’s series wins over Pakistan and now India is certain to make the world take notice of the Tigers and The Word Banglawash get established. Before this series, Bangladesh won only one match in a bilateral ODI series against India, back in 2004.Then, stunned by the defeat against the home side, India are desperately trying to avoid what is now widely called Banglawash. If someone look at him, it seems he is malnourished, probably because he came from a humble background. He wasn`t even strong enough to play in the Bangladesh under-19 team. But he has made the history changed.
Mustafizur is red hot for his record-setting debut ODI series. Everyone was so struck by Mustafizur`s pastoral innocence and the novelty he brought to the bowling attack. In the first ODI, Mustafizur took two and three wickets in his second and third spells respectively while in the second ODI he took five wickets in his second spell. On both occasions, he was heavily used up front but came back later in the batting Powerplay to achieve success. After mauling India in the ongoing ODI series, Bangladesh`s top pacer Mustafizur Rahman is now keen to bag a lucrative Indian Premier League contract in the multi-million dollar Twenty20 tournament`s next edition.
