Banglalink offers free premium services on digital healthcare platform “Daktarbhai” amid COVID-19 outbreak

Daktarbhai, a digital healthcare platform jointly launched by Banglalink and Healthcare Information System Ltd. (HISL), is offering free premium services to all Banglalink customers to ensure their easy access to healthcare facilities amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Banglalink has taken several measures including this one to ensure its customers’ safety since the outbreak began in the country.

Along with availing up to 40% discount at more than 300 hospitals in 61 districts and a 30% discount on a special health screening package at United Hospital, Banglalink customers can use Daktarbhai’s “Ask A Doctor” service free of charge for asking general health queries. Furthermore, they can book appointments with more than 2500 doctors (including all doctors of United Hospital) for free. The other services such as health records tracking, health directory, health blogs and medicine reminder will remain free as well. Banglalink customers can avail all the offers downloading ‘Daktarbhai’ app from Google Play Store and App Store or visiting https://daktarbhai.com/. The offers will be valid till 31 May, 2020.

Upanga Dutta, Chief Commercial Officer, Banglalink said, “We have decided to provide our customers with these premium services for free considering the immense importance of healthcare services during this critical time. The safety of our customers is always a matter of concern for us, and we are fully prepared to serve them through our digital initiatives. We hope such digital initiatives enable customers to get more timely health care benefits during current situations as well.”

Raihan Shamsi, Co-Founder of Daktarbhai Platform added, “Covid-19 created a pandemic situation worldwide. Hospitals and diagnostic centers are facing scarcity of physicians in Bangladesh. HISL along with Banglalink decided to offer the premium services free for all the Banglalink users for a period of two months. We are proud to provide healthcare services for the people of our country in a more useful manner.”

Banglalink, as a socially responsible corporate entity, is always committed to standing by its customers during critical times providing additional facilities.
