Banglalink Next Tuber-Season 2 kicks off

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in Bangladesh, has officially launched the second season of Banglalink Next Tuber, the first-ever digital reality show in the country. Introduced as a unique digital platform for promising video content makers, the reality show became an instant hit among youths from all across the country last year. The announcement on the launch of the second season of Banglalink Next Tuber was made by Ritesh Kumar Singh, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Banglalink at a press conference held at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh Complex, Dhaka. Also present at the event were Taimur Rahman, Chief Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Banglalink and other high officials of the organization.

Banglalink Next Tuber will once again provide promising video content makers with a unique opportunity to showcase their talent, receive grooming facilities and establish themselves as next generation celebrities. In order to participate in the competition, interested candidates have to upload video contents in YouTube and submit the URLs at: www.nextuber.com. Registration will be open from 20 September 2018 to 4 October 2018. After carrying out a rigorous selection process, the Champion and two runners-up will be announced and awarded lucrative Banglalink contracts worth BDT 3 lakh, BDT 2 lakh and BDT 1 lakh, respectively.

In addition, the Champion will get an opportunity to visit Google’s Singapore office and the top three contestants will be given internship opportunities for six months. They will also feature in three original shows, each of which will consist of four episodes presented by Banglalink. Popular film actress Purnima, eminent TV actor Iresh Zaker and two YouTube celebrities Tamim Mridha and Shouvik Ahmed will be in the Jury Panel this year. NTV and ABC Radio 89.2 FM will be the TV and Radio partners of the show respectively, while Bongo will act as an associate partner.

Ritesh Kumar Singh, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Banglalink said, “Banglalink is relentlessly trying to digitally empower the young generation so that they can actively contribute to the building of a truly digital Bangladesh. We are really proud of launching the second season of Next Tuber, which has already turned into an exemplary digital platform for talented video content makers. The incredible success of the inaugural season inspired us to carry this initiative forward, and we expect that it will encourage more video content makers to come forward and pursue their dreams.”
