ZTE Conducts EHS Awareness Training

ZTE, a major international provider of advanced telecommunications, enterprise, and consumer technology solutions for the mobile internet, has recently arranged a basic EHS awareness training at their corporate office in Gulshan.

EHS stands for Environment, Health, and Safety. It refers to laws, rules, regulations, professions, programs, and workplace efforts to protect the health and safety of the employees and the public as well as the environment from hazards associated with the workplace.

All the local and Chinese employees of ZTE including Cui Zhi Ping, Managing Director of ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Ltd. have participated in the training session. Engr. Mohammad Golam Nazib, EHS Manager, ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Ltd. conducted the session.

In the session, all the employees of ZTE Bangladesh were briefed about basic Safety Moment, EHS policies, working principals and operational discipline of safety, general safety rules, toolbox meeting, signs, housekeeping, waste management, tools and Heavy Equipment Safety, Inspection and ERP fire, first aid, and heat stress.

Regarding the initiatives, Vincent Liu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Ltd. said, ‘We help our employees at all the levels to understand the potential risks pertinent to the work environment. So, they can recognize the critical hazards that can be threatened for their health and safety. We will conduct this EHS training frequently from now on.’

Golam Nazib EHS Manager of ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Ltd. said, ‘Leading companies in the world are now more concerned on the safety issues. Nowadays, they emphasize on EHS training sessions to prevent any accidents related to the work environment. This EHS training will help us to minimize the risk factors in the workplace. We will also be able to share the basic knowledge with our friends and family whatever we learned here at the training.’

Cui Zhi Ping, Managing Director of ZTE Corporation Bangladesh Ltd. said, ‘At ZTE, we consider safety as the core priority to ensure so that of all our employees, ZTE subcontractors & partners return home safely without any injury every day.’
