An excited bunch of Mi Fans along with the Xiaomi team participated in several activities that were lined up for Mi Fans. From quizzes to lucky draws, multiple engaging acts took place where many Mi Fans got a chance to win exciting goodies and Xiaomi merchandise. Mi Fans and top contributors of the Mi Community also performed at Mi POP and were rewarded by the Xiaomi team.

A significant highlight of this spectacular evening was a musical performance by the very popular singer-songwriter Tanzir Tuhin. Tuhin was an instant hit with the Mi Fans and the whole crowd cheered for him as he performed his popular songs Pakhi and Bondho Janala.

Mi Fans are a group of passionate users who are intensely loyal to the Xiaomi brand, and actively contribute to the company’s product development. In Bangladesh the Mi Community currently has over 100,000 registered users today, making Xiaomi one of the top brands to have such a strong community of fans in the country. Several online and offline activities are organized from time to time to keep the Mi fans engaged which include various contests, Fan meets, social posts for engagement among others. Official Mi Fan clubs operate in Dhaka and Chattogram and are being planned to be extended to other cities soon.

Ziauddin Chowdhury, Country General Manager, Xiaomi Bangladesh said, “We are so excited and thrilled to be bringing the first ever Mi POP for our Bangladesh Mi Fans. Mi Fans lie at the core of our business at Xiaomi and significantly contribute to our growth as a brand through their constant support and valuable feedback. Thus an event like this is a great opportunity for us to engage with them. This is our way of expressing to our Mi Fans how much they matter to us and this Mi POP has been nothing short of a big success. We thank our over 500 Mi Fans who attended Mi POP and made it so successful.”

Tanzir Tuhin, vocalist of Bangladesh’s popular band Avash’, said, “Since a very large community of Xiaomi has formed in Bangladesh there is a great role to be played here. A crowd as big as this coming together for a brand is a first of its kind and only Xiaomi could make this possible.”
