A disturbing incident occurred at Dhaka’s Kamalapur Railway Station when pornographic content was displayed on a digital information board. Unable to stop the explicit content, a frustrated passenger resorted to smashing the screen.

The railway authorities have formed an investigation committee to probe into this incident that took place late on a Friday night. According to railway officials, the pornographic content suddenly appeared on a display board near the ticket counter, causing a commotion among those present. Despite attempts to stop it, the display could not be turned off, leading to its destruction.

The station master, Mohammad Anwar Hossain, stated that this was an isolated incident and a committee has been formed to identify the culprit behind this act. The Dhaka divisional railway manager, Mohammad Mahiuddin Arif, has also confirmed the incident and mentioned that an investigation is underway.

The company responsible for maintaining the digital display boards, Shohoz.com, has been contacted but has not responded to queries regarding the incident.

It’s worth noting that this is not the first such incident at Kamalapur station. Earlier, a similar incident involving political slogans had occurred, leading to the dismissal of a railway engineer.
