Walton to export electronics products to Mali, Senegal

The ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labelled Walton brand’s electronics products are going to be marketed to two West African nations- Mali and Senegal.

As an authorized distributor of Walton brand, Simpara Group, which has extensive business networks in Mali and Senegal, will sold out the Bangladeshi electronics giant’s refrigerator, air conditioner, home and electric appliance, laptop, mobile phones products in the markets of the two West African nations.
In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Walton and Simpara at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Tuesday (March 23, 2021).
Managing Director of Simpara Group Mamadou DIT N’fa Simpara and Walton International Business Unit (IBU) President Edward Kim inked the deal on behalf of their respective organizations.
Among others, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited Director Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan, Refrigerator’s CEO Anisur Rahman Mallik, Mobile Phone Division CEO SM Rezwan Alam, IBU’s Senior Operative Director Rokibul Islam and Assistant Director Sabbir Hasan Khan were present at the signing ceremony.
Earlier on Sunday (March 21, 2021), Mamadou DIT N’fa Simpara visited the Walton factory at Chandra in Gazipur. During the visit, he toured Walton’s world-class refrigerator manufacturing, metal casting, compressor, air conditioner, television, SMT production, PCB, computer, washing machine, mobile phone and home and kitchen appliance manufacturing processes. Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited directors S M Mahbubul Alam and Zakia Sultana, Managing Director of Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited Monjurul Alam Ovee were present at that time.
Mamadou DIT N’fa Simpara said, ‘Walton is a versatile company based entirely on technology. I am fascinated by the attractive installation of the factory and the production process of various products. Before coming to Bangladesh, I learned a lot about Walton through the internet. I was really surprised to see the Walton factory first hand and see its progress with my own eyes.’
He also said that Walton is gaining worldwide reputation by exporting products made in Bangladesh. We are very happy to have a contract with them. There is a demand for all kinds of electronics products in Africa. I will do my best to spread Walton’s products in the African market. I believe not only Mali, Walton products will one day spread across the African continent.
Nishat Tasnim Shuchi said Walton is exporting products to more than 40 countries around the world. Extensive work is underway to further accelerate the export activities. In this case, the business agreement with Mali will play an important role. This has created opportunities for large-scale export of Walton products to Africa.
Edward Kim said there are many emerging economies in Africa at the moment. So we have an aggressive export plan as a potential market for the whole of Africa. That deal will accelerate that plan. Walton is emphasizing on increasing business volume through OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) as well as ensuring the highest quality product delivery to global partners. Walton has gained rapid customer response in the global electronics market due to its use of latest technology in manufacturing, global standards, attractive designs and color selection.
