Walton fridge sales soared  on the eve of Qurbani Eid

The local electronics giant has witnessed bumper sales of its wide ranges of refrigerator and freezer as the demands of fridges are soared across the country on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha or Qurbani Eid, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslims to be observed on August 12.

Expressing satisfaction on the sales of fridges ahead of the Qurbani Eid, Walton Fridge’s Chief Executive Officer Golam Murshed said that they registered around 30 percent growth in the sales of fridges during this Qurbani compared to the fridge sales of last year’s Qurbani.

The fridge sales target, set by the company for this Qurbani Eid, have been achieved, he added.

Walton Plaza managers, distributors and zonal in-charges from the capital, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Bagerhat, Bogura, Sylhe, Feni, Narsingdhi and other parts of the country informed that there is a sales bonanza of fridges in Walton outlets.

Walton is meeting 80 percent of the entire demands of fridges of the Eid market, they claimed.

Dwelling on the huge sales of fridge, they said, customers have sustained their faith in Walton brand refrigerators and freezers mainly due to some uniqueness, including release of energy saving fridge, global standard, affordability, lucrative designs, lots of models, one year replacement guaranty side by side 12-year guaranty on fridge compressor, easy installment facility and having a wide sales and service network.

In addition, the offer of “Who will be million today” for the fridge customers also played a role in the bumper sales. As per the offer, everyday customers may get Tk 1 million or Tk 1lakh, sure cash vouchers or various sorts of appliances through registering fridge just after the purchase from any Walton outlet from July 1 to till the Qurbani Eid.

Already, lots of customers in different parts of the country became millionaire and got Tk 1 lakh through buying Walton fridges.

Khaled Saifullah, manager of Walton Plaza at Academy Road in Feni, informed that the sales of fridges in this Eid is comparatively better than the last year’s Eid. Customers are preferring Walton fridge. Some customers are seen in standing with their choose fridge until the complete of purchase procedure. He has six sub-dealers.

Each of the dealers are selling huge number of fridges. Customers are thronging their outlets ignoring heavy rainfalls.

A resident in the capital’s Donia area named Delowar Hossain purchased a refrigerator from Electro Vision, an exclusive distributor showroom of Walton at Sonirakhra in Dhaka.

Delowar told the reporter that most of his friends, relatives and neighbours are using Walton brand fridges. They are getting well services from the local brand fridges. Thus, he also bought Walton fridge.

Another customer Ruby Kauser purchased a freezer from Walton Plaza at Zigatola in Dhaka. She said, the quality of Walton fridges is up to the international standard and the price is also affordable. As a Bangladesh, I have a great faith of the local brand product.
