Export markets of the Bangladesh’s multinational electronics brand ‘Walton` have been expanding very rapidly. Recently, a Middle East country ‘Yemen’ was enlisted in the list of importing countries of Walton made fridges.

Last month, Walton for the first time shipped out a large volume of fridges to a local brand of Yemen under the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). This month, the second shipment of Walton made fridges, including huge power efficient glass door refrigerator and beverage cooler, was completed.

Edward Kim, President of Walton’s International Business Unit (IBU) said, “We set a target of bagging US$ 1 billion earnings from the export of various sorts of electronics and electrical appliances and spare parts by 2028.”

Some uniqueness, including products of state-of-the art technologies, world-class quality, wide ranges of designs and colours, and price competitiveness, helped Walton made fridges expand its global market rapidly, he noted.

Production and supply of global standard fridges as per the requirement, given by the importers, are resulted in achieving the faith of the Yemen’s business partner, he said adding that thus, Walton got two export orders from the Yemen’s local brand just within a month.
