Toma taxi accepts bKash payment from passengers

Passengers travelling by Toma taxi can now pay their cab fare using bKash wallet. In this connection, bKash Limited recently signed an agreement with Toma taxi service which operates around 200 cabs in the Dhaka city. The cab service provider has also planned to add 50 taxis in its fleet soon.

Rezaul Hossain, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash Limited and Brigadier General (Retd) Mohammad Mustafa Kamal, Chief Executive Officer of Toma taxi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization.

Each taxi will have individual bKash merchant wallet where a passenger can pay the fare directly from his or her bKash wallet. The bKash merchant wallet number will be displayed inside the cab.

The process of bKash payment is very simple. The bKash wallet user need to dial *247# to access the bKash menu, then select ‘3’ for the ‘payment ’ option and then follow the simple interactive steps to conduct the transaction.

Opening of bKash wallet is also absolutely free of cost. Any individual having a valid national ID card/passport or driving licence can open a bKash wallet from bKash’s more than 100,000 agent points across the country.

Toma Taxi Cab Service, a concern of Toma Group launched the cab service in Dhaka on April, 2014.

Senior officials of the both organizations were present during the signing ceremony.
