Country’s Leading electronics giant Walton is showcasing its upcoming IoT-based smart refrigerator at the premier pavilion No. 26 of the ongoing Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF). Customers will get Tk 10,000 discount on pre-booking of the refrigerator priced at Tk 99,910. The refrigerator will be released in the market in April this year.
Engineer Golam Murshed, CEO of Walton Refrigerator Division, said: Wi-Fi module has been added to the smart refrigerator’s control board which will connect the appliance to internet. Users can control and monitor the refrigerator using their mobile phones from any part of the world.
Some special features of Walton smart refrigerator are LED display, special camera set up inside the appliance, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, auto defrost, intelligent inverter technology compressor, environment-friendly R600a refrigerant, advanced temperature control, twin cooling, door opening alarm, ionizer, human detector, special ice making zone, non-frost, moisture control zone, nano healthcare, antifungal door technology etc.
Tapash Kumer Mojumder, head of Walton fridge R&D department, said, Walton Smart Refrigerator is being manufactured by following ‘Bangladesh Standards 1850: 2012’ set by the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI). Every Walton refrigerators is released in the market after quality certification from the Bangladesh Accreditation Board recognized and ISO certified NUSDAT-UTS lab.
Shahiduzzaman Rana, Additional Director of Walton refrigerator sales department, said that besides smart refrigerator, more than 150 models of frost and non-frost refrigerators, freezers and beverage coolers are being displayed and sold at Walton pavilion. Customers will get 10 percent discount on purchase of any refrigerator from Walton Pavilion at the trade fair. Besides, they will get up to 200% cash vouchers with sure cashback under the ongoing nationwide Digital Campaign Season-5.
