Shuttle has introduced an app-based pick and drop service aiming to offer safe and comfortable transportation for the women commuters in the city.

Offering pick and drop transportation service to only women, Shuttle, runs on specific routes with specific pick-up and drop-off points on a fixed schedule.

Starting from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm, Shuttles are always available on specific routes. It provides the service in air-conditioned microbuses where 10-11 women can commute together. Customers can book their rides instantly through Shuttle app available on Google Play Store.

Shuttle provides 3-6 free rides to all new users. After enjoying the free rides, users have to buy tickets (Single Ticket/Bundle Ticket) to take rides. Bundle Ticket includes 10 rides. Users get a huge discount when they buy the bundle ticket.

Shuttle’s Ticket prices vary depending on the route. Uttara-Bashundhara BDT 60 (single) and 500 (bundle), Mirpur-Bashundhara BDT100 (single) and 900 (bundle), Dhanmondi-Bashundhara BDT120 (single) and 1000 (bundle), Mohammadpur-Bashundhara BDT120 (single) and 1000 (bundle), Dhanmondi-Gulshan 1 BDT 100 (single) and 900 (bundle) and Mirpur-Mohammadpur-Gulshan 1 BDT100 (single) and 900 (bundle).

Shuttle keeps a trained trip manager in every vehicle. He/she ensures passengers get on the vehicle safely and then reach the destination safely. Their drivers and trip managers are also specially trained and verified.

Shuttle’s Co-founder & CEO, Reyasat Chowdhury, stated, ‘Currently, we are operating on 6 routes and providing around 1,000 rides per day. We are introducing new routes every month. Our goal is to ensure no woman in Bangladesh has to worry about safety in transportation anymore.’

‘We have a Facebook community of 7,000 regular women commuters. And we, the co-founders, are the admins of that group. We respond to each and every concern ourselves and try to solve any problem immediately,’ said Jawwad Jahangir, Co-founder & COO of Shuttle.

Shah Sufian Mahmud Chowdhury, Co-founder & CTO of Shuttle, said, ‘All our drivers and trip managers are selected with maximum sincerity. After the primary selection, every new recruit has to go through a training period before their appointment so that we can maintain the quality of our service and ensure utmost customer satisfaction.’
