Seminar on “Introduction to Google Crowdsource” at UITS

Google is a multinational technology company focusing on artificial intelligence, online advertising, search engine technology, cloud computing, computer software, quantum computing, e-commerce, and consumer electronics.

Google is one of the innovative tech giants in the world. Nowadays, we can’t even think about our daily life without google apps.

Recently, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) successfully organized a seminar on “Introduction to Google Crowdsource” with more than one hundred student participation.

Sarita Bahera who is currently working as Google Crowdsource Community Manager, Bengaluru, India has introduced the students with an Android based app in which anyone can contribute with their expertise, opinion or resources to a task or project.

This is the 1st time in Bangladesh to access this app’s exclusive perks, rewards, certification and achievement features to experience only from this University.

The students are really curious about the probable outcomes including the opportunities it might create. One of the students during the Q & A session showed his concern about fault information sharing and was assured that they have a proper detection system to ignore those results.

Another student showed his interest in public availability of those new information data sets for future AI or ML related projects. Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Associate Professor and Director, IQAC, UITS described the importance of this new era app for the students.

At the end, Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam Professor and Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, UITS expressed his futuristic review and feedback with the announcement of seminars end.
