Professor Dr. Nurul Huda Represented Bangladesh at UNESCO Conference 

Professor Dr. Mohammad Nurul Huda, the director of the MSCSE program at Computer Science and Engineering Department in United International University and Director, AI & NLP, eGeneration Ltd. represented Bangladesh at a UNESCO conference on Natural Language Processing (NLP). He is leading the Natural Language Processing (NLP) Team of the eGeneration Ltd. He is currently teaching subjects like Neural Network, Machine Learning, NLP and many more as a professor at the United International University (UIU).

The conference, titled “International Conference Language Technologies for All (LT4All): Enabling Linguistic Diversity and Multilingualism Worldwide”, is being held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France from 4 to 6 December 2019. NLP experts from 88 countries around the world attended the conference. Technology giants like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, IBM Research AI, Amazon Alexa, and Mozilla were some of the sponsors of the convention. As the only invited guest from Bangladesh, Dr. Huda spoke at the conference and discussed how Machine Learning tools can be used instead of Rule based approach in natural language processing models.

eGeneration NLP team has been developing Bangla language processing tools under his industry leading expertise and guidance. eGeneration has already made various commercial use ready chatbot, which can automate social media customer management and comment management in platforms like Facebook, google assistant, viber, twitter and many other web-based platform or websites. eGeneration NLP team and data science team have developed sentiment analytics tools that has various use cases in digital marketing. eGeneration has also been developing Bangla International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to connect Bengali language with other languages around the world.

Dr. Huda and eGeneration NLP team is mainly involved in machine learning, speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech analysis, Speaker Recognition, Question Answering System, Bangla Chatbot, Machine Translation, Sentiment Analysis, Bangla Spell & Grammar Checker, International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) Conversion, Font Converter, Bangla Morphology, Pause Tagging, Bangla Document Classification, Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Classification and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Dr. Mohammad Nurul Huda received a PhD degree in automatic speech recognition from the University of Technology, Tokyo in Japan. He has more than 22 years of experience in university and has high experience in text and spoken language technology in Bangla, Japanese and English. He published more than 130 international research papers related to NLP in various journals.
