Popular Actress Tania Brishti Undergoes Successful Brain Tumor Surgery; Colleagues Call for Prayers

Tania Brishti, a prominent face in Bangladeshi television drama, has successfully undergone surgery to remove a brain tumor. The operation took place on Sunday afternoon at a specialized hospital in Dhaka. While the procedure was successful, the actress remains under close medical observation.

Details of the Procedure
The surgery lasted approximately four hours, during which medical teams successfully removed the tumor. Filmmaker Hasan Rezaul shared an update late Sunday night, stating:

“By the grace of Allah, actress Tania Brishti’s surgery was completed successfully. The tumor was removed after a four-hour operation. She will be under observation for the next 24 hours. As there can be post-operative complications, she cannot be declared out of danger just yet. Please keep her in your prayers.”

Director Sakal Ahmed also confirmed the news, mentioning that she is currently in post-operative care and will be moved to a cabin once her condition stabilizes further.

Background of Her Illness
The news of her diagnosis came as a shock to the industry. According to Sakal Ahmed, Tania had been suffering from severe headaches and physical discomfort for several days. After her condition worsened, she was admitted to a hospital in Uttara, where medical tests revealed the presence of a brain tumor. She was subsequently moved to a specialized facility for the surgery.

On Valentine’s Day (February 14), Tania herself took to social media to inform her fans, writing, “I have brain surgery tomorrow; please pray for me. It’s a brain tumor.”

Industry Reaction
Following the news, the acting community and her fans have flooded social media with messages of support and prayers. Colleagues have urged the public to respect the privacy of the actress and her family during this critical time, requesting:

No unnecessary visits to the hospital to allow her a quiet recovery.

Refraining from phone calls regarding shooting schedules or work assignments.

Tania Brishti, known for her versatile performances, is a beloved figure in the “Choto Porda” (small screen) industry. Her recovery is being closely monitored by both the medical community and her peers in the entertainment world.
