Message from Russel T. Ahmed for Digital World 2015

We are going to make a history. For the first time we are organizing “Digital World 2014″, the biggest digital fair in the country jointly organized by the government and the private sector. A lot of people will participate from home and abroad in this ever-largest digital fair of Bangladesh,” said BASIS secretary general and chief project officer of the fair Russel T Ahmed.

“The fair is mainly organized for the young people. It will spread positive message to home and abroad. We will talk about our inventions and listen to expert’s speech.”

About the aim of the fair, he said, “The fair is organized to promote digital Bangladesh as a positive brand to the world. It will help to put off the negative ideas of the world about our country. ”

He added, “Our country has to step forward. It is a challenge. We have already passed a long way. Now it is time to introduce branding of our country. We have organized the fair to display positive digital Bangladesh to the world.”

There will be three different expos, Soft Expo, E-governance and mobile innovation Expo, in the fair. Moreover, there will be E-commerce zone, BPA, developer and outsourcing forum, CEO night and award night events in the fair. Beside the product display there will be 30 subject-based seminars and several technical sessions during the four-day fair. Preparation for the fair has been completed successfully.

Russel T Ahmed said, “We are moving forward in information technology every day. Our software industry has progressed a lot. We have to make further development in this sector. The internet users in cell phones are increasing. Our infrastructure is also developing. Our lifestyle has changed. We are going towards a true digital world. We will exhibit our positive changes in the fair.”

`Digital World 2014` is a four days long fair. The fair, a joint venture of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) ministry and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
