Marcel fridge sales jumped by 137 pc in Jan-May’19

Local electronics manufacturer Marcel has registered a 137 percent growth in the sales of its refrigerators and freezers during the month of January to May of 2019 against the sales of the corresponding period of the previous year.

Marcel officials informed that they sold out total of 72,947 units of fridges during the first five months (January to May) of the previous year. Whereas, total of 1 lakh 73,093 units were sold in the same period of the current year, a 137 percent growth in fridge sales.

In addition, the local brand has sold 33,699 units of fridges during the holy Ramadan of this year, which was more than one and half times of the fridge sales of last year’s Ramadan.

Centering the Cricket World Cup 2019, the local brand announced a special offer under its nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season-4. Under the offer, customers may get free television or various sorts of electronics or electrical appliances or sure cash vouchers up to Tk 1 lakh through registering their fridges just after the purchase from any Marcel outlets.

Dr. Md. Shakhawat Hossen, executive director of Marcel, said that this year sales of their fridges were jumped up sharply in the local market.

Every month, the fridge’s sales targets were surpassed, mentioning it he noted that some timely initiatives were played a vital role in registering a remarkable growth in the sales of local brand’s fridge.

These initiatives were included: raising the numbers of new outlets, releasing new models of energy efficient inverter and glass door frost and non-frost refrigerators, announcing 12 years guaranty on the fridge compressors, allowing 1 year replacement guaranty, assuring swift after sales services and providing some extra benefits to the customers under its digital campaign.

Each and every fridges of Marcel brand are marketed after receiving the QC (Quality Control) Pass certificate from the international standard testing lab NUSDAT-UTS, saying it he pointed out that several ultra-modern technologies like inverter, glass door, Nano health care, anti-fungal door gasket and so many are being used in Marcel fridges.

Sales executives of Marcel fridges informed that they are manufacturing and marketing total of 96 models of fridges, including 79 models of frost refrigerator, 5 models of non-frost refrigerator and 12 models of freezers.

Marcel is now allowing 4 years warranty on fridge spare parts and 5 years after sales services. They are delivering swift and best post sales services through more than 70 service centers under its ISO standard service management system network. Around 2,500 engineers and technicians are engaged in this task.
