Likee to launch Victory Day special campaign

Leading global short video platform Likee Bangladesh is going to launch a special campaign following the upcoming 50th Victory Day of Bangladesh.

Likee has designed a special H5 game for this campaign. Users can win virtual flowers by completing tasks like signing in to their accounts, joining the hashtag to make videos, sharing videos on social media, following designated Likee accounts, and watching shows. Collected flowers can be used to pay tributes to the virtual monuments and trigger the special effect to match the occasion’s gravity.

The core objective of the campaign is to encourage users to make videos and strengthen the atmosphere of victory and glory. Youth icons like Toya and Siam will  to celebrate the day online with the campaign participants. Lucky participants have the chance to win cellphones and cash prizes, alongside attractive background visual effects, coupons of boost, special Victory Day badge, and thank-you letters.

December 16 is one of the most memorable and significant days in Bangladesh’s history, but the COVID-19 pandemic has left very little window for the nation to celebrate it together this year. In such a delicate time, to commemorate the magnitude of Victory Day,Likee has planned to introduce an innovative idea for its users while maintaining social distance to prevent coronavirus spread.

Most Likee users are young who prefer to stay trendy with all of their social activities. Likee aims to promote the spirit of nationalism among the youth and empower them in ways to craft them as responsible citizens. Victory Day is usually celebrated by various beautiful precessions, stunning military parades, and floral wreaths at the altar of the National Mausoleum at Savar. But this year, due to the ongoing pandemic, public gathering for such celebrations is strictly discouraged. For the youth to not get disheartened by this impediment, Likee is going to present this unique solution that allows a virtual tribute to the sacrifice of our freedom fighters.

Regarding this, Joy, Head of Bangladesh operations, Likee Bangladesh, said, “Likee feels responsible for raising the consciousness among Bangladesh’s young population regarding the liberation war history. The youth today likes to stay colorful with all their activities. Our Victory Day special campaign has been designed to merge both the importance of the event and the youth’s priorities. We are confident that one such campaign amidst COVID-19 is going to see a huge success.”

The campaign will begin on December 10 and will continue till December 17.
