Khokon Mia becomes millionaire buying Walton fridge

Md. Khokon Mia from Netrokona’s Atpara upazila became the second millionaire of nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season-22.

He was awarded Tk 10 lakh after he had purchased a Walton brand refrigerator. Earlier, Rasel Fakir, a college student from Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur, became millionaire awarding Tk 10 lakh through buying Walton fridge in Season-22.

Popular film actor Amin Khan and Walton Distributor Network’s Head of Sales Md. Firoj Alam handed over a Tk10 lakh worth cheque to Khokon Mia at a splendid programme held at a playground near Modon bus stand in Netrokona Sadar on Saturday last (March 8, 2025).

In ‘Digital Campaign Season-22’, customers are offered Tk 10 lakh cash or lakhs of taka worth cash vouchers or guaranteed cashbacks of different amounts on the purchase of Walton brand fridge, AC, washing machine or BLDC fan from any Walton Plaza and distributor outlet across the country. Customers will enjoy these benefits until Eid-ul-Azha this year.

Under this campaign, Khokon Mia had purchased a fridge from Walton’s distributor showroom ‘J S Electronics and Electric’ at Tk 39,290 on February 27, 2025. After he had purchased the fridge, his name, mobile number and the model number of the fridge are digitally registered. After a while, he received a message from Walton on his mobile with the notification that he was awarded Tk10 lakh cashback.

Thanking Walton, Khokon Mia, a resident of Matikata village under the upazila said that he will invest the awarded money to buy a farm land and some cows to bring comforts to his family.

The cheque hand over programme was also attended, among others, by Walton Distributor Network’s Divisional Sales Manager Moshiur Rahman, Regional Sales Manager Adnan Rayhan and J S Electronics and Electric’s Proprietor Mahabub Alam Tamim.
