Jimmy Wales in Bangladesh and talked about Access to Knowledge

Wikipedia Co-founder Jimmy Wales is coming to Dhaka this Thursday, February 26th. Jimmy Wales will be attending the gala event of the 10th anniversary of Bangla Wikipedia. The event will be organizing by Wikimedia Bangladesh.

A press Event has arranged by Wikimedia Bangladesh on the Jimmy Wales arriving here.

Zakia Zerin from Grameen Phone and Munir Hasan from Wikimedia Bangladesh was present on the pres coference. They said, that this will be the very first trip of Mr. Wales in Bangladesh. He will be discussing about Bangla Wikipedia and how to involve more people to enrich local content in Wikipedia.

Grameenphone, the leading telecom operator of Bangladesh, will be holding another session with Jimmy Wales titled ‘Education For All’. Dignitaries from various industries will be attending the event. GP has a great opportunity for all the aspiring learners to ask Jimmy Wales regarding Wikipedia. Twenty five people with the best questions will be invited to a grand event at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka on the 26th of February.

Jimmy Wales will present a keynote on the programme on Wikipedia.

A seminar on Internet for all =Access to Knowledge for all has arranged by GP. Jimmy Wales, Co-Founder Wikipedia along with local and international telecom/ICT experts are among others to discuss the issue.
