Huawei has organized campus recruitment program at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). The event took place with the participation of students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) departments.
Around 200 students took part in the recruitment process, which consisted of an MCQ examination followed by an interview session for the selected candidates. Selected candidates will get the opportunity to work with Huawei.
The recruitment program was attended by key representatives from both Huawei and BUET. From Huawei, Linxiao, HR Director; Kaushik Ahmed Reza, Senior Marketing Manager; Md. Fara Newas, Senior HR Manager; and Md. Khalid Hossain, Assistant HR Manager, were present; while from BUET, Prof. Dr. ABM Harun ur Rashid, Head of the EEE Department, and Prof. Dr. Forkan Uddin from the EEE Department joined the event.
Linxiao, HR Director, Huawei, said, “Huawei remains dedicated to developing the ICT talent ecosystem in Bangladesh, offering valuable employment opportunities to fresh graduates. The company regularly conducts recruitment programs at different universities, fostering career growth and technological advancement.”
Speaking about the initiative, Prof. Dr. Forkan Uddin said, “Huawei’s campus recruitment at BUET offered an excellent platform for our students to connect with industry and gain valuable career opportunities. This initiative not only enhanced employment prospects but also provided real life experience to our students.”
A participant of the program said, “Huawei’s campus recruitment program provides a precious opportunity to prepare ourselves as future IT professionals. In today’s highly competitive job market, such a program can significantly help by giving valuable industry insights. Most importantly, it is also a direct route to lucrative careers opportunities at Huawei.”
The majority of Huawei employees are recruited from local resources. Along with contributing to Huawei’s operations in Bangladesh, they are working at other offices of Huawei.
