edotco Bangladesh brings free electricity to 1000 households

edotco Bangladesh, an integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company in Bangladesh has recently reached the milestone of providing free electricity to 1000 households under its ‘Tower to Community’ project. The project was launched in 2016 as a part edotco’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

edotco Bangladeshis now providing free electricity to 1000 families, schools and mosquesin 26 locations across the country, including Nijhum Dwip, Shibpur, Nazirpur and Kuakata.

With the implementation of sustainable energy solutions, the ‘Tower to Community’ project brings hopeto the life of local neighborhood by fulfilling their basic need for electricity. The peopleof the project areasare utilizing the free electricity facility to avail pure and clean drinking water through water pump as well. Now they can use electric lights to complete their everyday household works, students can study, villagers can perform their prayers comfortably, can charge their mobile phones, torch and so forth. The implementation of the ‘Tower to Community’ project is bringinga noteworthy transformation in the life of underprivileged community in the form of technological and social enrichment.

Rahul Chaudhary, Country Managing Director of edotco Bangladesh said, “Apart from providing best in class service, we care about people and the environment.We’re focused on improving living standards in the rural communities of Bangladesh.Bringing 1,000 families under the facilities of electricity is one of its example” edotco Bangladesh has been at the forefront of the country’s tower infrastructure landscape since 2013, providing end-to-end solutions in the tower services sector from tower leasing, co-locations, build-to-suit, energy management, transmission and operations and maintenance. edotco Bangladesh was recently awarded with tower sharing license by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
