Developing 5,000 skilled professionals in next one year

Technology training provider Prodigy and Regency Hospitality Training Institute (RHTI), subsidiary of Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort will develop 5,000 skilled professionals in next one year. These firms aims to accelerate growth in tourism sector by providing technology skill-based training for professionals.

Regarding this, Prodigy Chief Executive Officer Nazmul Hossain Tapu and RHTI Assistant Director Sohel Ahmed signed an agreement at a function in Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort on Thursday. Navid Rahman, Managing Director of Prodigy; Shahid Hamid, Executive Director of Dhaka Regency; Abdul Halim, manager of RHTI; and trainer M A Nahian were also present on the occasion.

The organizers informed that the organizations will jointly work to develop 5,000 workforces for the sector providing practical knowledge. Prodigy will provide knowledge based training while RHTI make practical training segments for the trainees.

It’s should be mentioned that, Prodigy has already provided training to around 2000 students on graphics design, website design and development, video editing and marketing, search engine optimization, mobile application development and other technology based professional skills. They also organize seminar on different topics every week which is open for all. Besides, the firm announced cent percent scholarships for around 200 students according to their merits.

On the other hand, Regency Hospitality Training Institute (RHTI) has been working to developed skilled human resources in hospitality sector.  The firm has already trained up 3000 individuals who enabled to develop career in different hotels and resorts across the country. There are 22 professional courses including higher diploma, certification course at the firm is attached with government’s SEIP projects.
