Daraz is Ready to Serve the Country with the Motto “Stay Safe, Let Us Deliver”

Following the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommendation to control the spread of global pandemic coronavirus, people in general have disconnected from their daily routines to practice social distancing. And here stands the country’s largest online marketplace Daraz Bangladesh for the welfare of the consumers by constantly providing them with the facility within the national crisis. With the “Stay Safe, Let Us Deliver” motto the leading online marketplace has taken steps to ensure that the customers can easily access basic commodities such as flour, lentils, soaps, sanitizers, sugar, tea, surface cleaners, hand washes etc. over online.

In this situation, Daraz delivery agents have been strictly instructed to wear masks and gloves at all times. Also, the delivery agents have been instructed to take extra precautionary measures and disinfect the package at the customer’s doorstep.  Not only that, Daraz has also taken strict measures for employee safety. At Daraz’ warehouses, hubs and offices, colleagues have been told to refrain from physical contact, wash hands frequently and thoroughly. Also, hand sanitizer dispensers are placed at the entrance gates of each floor. Furthermore, the temperature of all employees at the warehouse and all members of the logistics team is checked several times in a day with the help of a forehead thermometer. Work-from-home has become the norm for most employees these days.

Daraz Bangladesh Managing Director Syed Mostahidal Hoq said “Our primary concern right now is to ensure the safety of our beloved employees, delivery agents and customers. We are ready to serve our customers’ needs at all times. At the same time, it is our social duty to help prevent the spread of the infection and so, the strictest guidelines of cleanliness are being upheld at our workplaces.”
