In Bangladesh, the spirit of #womensday is embodied in the digital landscape through the inspiring journeys of women TikTok creators who are not just breaking stereotypes but are also shaping the future.

Empowering Through Education: The Musfeka Nusrin Story

Musfeka Nusrin, known on TikTok as @musfekanusrin, is revolutionizing the way English is taught.

Through her channel ‘School of English by Musfeka’ on TikTok she regularly produces content that makes learning accessible, engaging and innovative.

“In our country, girls who provide education-based video lessons on social media face criticism. I received negative comments too, but persevered with a positive attitude and hard work.

TikTok helped my lessons reach a wider audience quickly and was enthusiastically received. I believe TikTok is an excellent platform for teachers to share their expertise on social media,” said Musfeka.

Culinary Chronicles: The Flavorful Journey of Prova

Fabiha Nowsin Prova, better known as @provaeats, has garnered countless followers with her food vlogging.

Her videos not only shows the rich culinary heritage of Bangladesh but also offer a platform for local businesses to shine.

“I love creating food content and believe that cooking empowers people. I support local businesses and home cooks and showcase their work.

TikTok is a great platform to engage with people who share the same interests and appreciate hard work and an excellent starting point for newcomers to gain a larger audience.

My advice to new vloggers will be be patient and be creative!,” shared Prova while talking about her journey.

Entrepreneurial Spirit: Labiba’s Artistic Footprint

Labiba Ibnath (@labaebaaa) is a name synonymous with creativity and innovation in the realm of entrepreneurship and #WomenInBusiness.

Her customized painted sneakers are adorned with traditional Bengali artistic styles, and cartoons. Her design for Pritom’s sneakers in Coke Studio is the blend of tradition and modernity.

“For empowerment, I break norms through my independence and self-reliance. From managing my page to sourcing supplies for my sneakers, I do it independently.

Through TikTok, I share my work, engage with followers, and potential customers. For entrepreneurs, my advice is to embrace social media and platforms like TikTok for networking, and sharing your talents” shared Labiba.

Fashion Forward: Catherine Kheya’s Style Saga

Catherine Kheya (@catherine_kheya) is transforming the fashion landscape of Bangladesh with her unique content.

Her TikTok channel is a testament to evolving local fashion trends, communicated through the heartwarming familiarity of the Bengali language.

Catherine’s work transcends mere style; it’s a cultural dialogue that resonates with local and global audiences alike.

“I promote diversity in body types and ethnicities and encourage self-love and acceptance through my content. It’s inclusive, accessible, and features affordable fashion options.

TikTok helps me break fashion norms through community building and trendsetting.

My advice is to wear your clothes with confidence, embrace who you are, and ignore criticism with a smile,” shared Kheya.

The Rhythmic Revolution of Ridy Sheikh

Ridy Sheikh (@ridysheikh), a celebrated dancer, has turned TikTok into her stage.

Through her captivating performances, Ridy is not just showcasing her talent but is also promoting dance as a powerful form of expression and cultural storytelling.

“In my journey I’ve leveraged my unique background, blending cultural influences from Russia and Bangladesh.

I’ve utilized platforms like YouTube and, more recently, TikTok. TikTok, in particular, has been instrumental in reaching a global audience.

My advice to fellow dance enthusiasts is to commit to continuous growth, using platforms like TikTok as a means to innovate and collaborate,” Ridy shared.

The stories of these remarkable Bangladeshi women stand as a testament to the strength, creativity, and resilience of women everywhere.

Through their work, they are not only overcoming challenges but are also paving the way for future generations of women creators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
