Brainport Eindhoven and BASIS will develop a collaboration model

The Eindhoven International Project Office (EIPO), Netherlands sees enormous possibilities for future collaboration opportunities with BASIS. To discuss these matters briefly, the Eindhoven International Project Office (EIPO) delegation met with BASIS President Mr. Russell T. Ahmed today, April 10, 2022.

Mr. Joost Helms, Director, EIPO shares the idea of how they unlock the knowledge and experience of the successful transition of the Brainport Eindhoven region and the Triple Helix collaboration model. The region created more than 11,000 additional jobs in 10 years, which requires more recruitment and a talent hunt.

In response to that, BASIS President stated that, Bangladesh produces numerous IT graduates every year and this is the time to engage the industry in the Human Resources development process where we can follow the model of Brainport Eindhoven to build a mechanism in Bangladesh’s perspective. He also added that, ICT industry promotion in international platforms is very important to highlight the readiness of Bangladeshi local companies. He mentioned how BASIS has started working to excel in the ICT industry further focusing on seven pillars- 1. HR capacity building, 2. Developing local market scenario, 3. Increasing export volume 4. Creating a thriving ecosystem for startups, 5. Industry Promotion 6. Access to Finance and 7. Formulating policies to help grow intangible assets.
