Ruling Awami League’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader has alleged that opposition BNP is instigating a civil war by calling people to guard polling centres.
Obaidul, also road transport and bridges minister, passed the comment at an international seminar at a hotel in Dhaka, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
“Oikyafront and BNP are pushing the country towards a civil war as they are delivering attacking speeches,” the daily quoted him as saying.
