BNP extends hartal till Friday morning
The BNP-led 20-party alliance has extended its countrywide hartal for another 48 hours.
A 72-hour hartal called by BNP and its allies is already in effect, which was supposed to end at Wednesday 6:00am.
Instead the hartal has now been stretched to Friday 6:00am.
BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed announced the hartal in a statement on Tuesday.
The hartal has been extended protesting `killing and arrest` of alliance leaders and activists, including BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, read the statement.
