bKash strikes payment deal with Walton Plaza

bKash Limited, the largest mobile financial service provider in the country has struck a payment deal with Walton Plaza, the flagship storeoflocal electronics and home appliances conglomerate Walton Bangladesh. The deal will see bKash payment accepted at all Walton flagship outlets across the country. Under the deal, the customers can also make their EMI payment for Walton products through bKash.

Mizanur Rashid, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash and Nazrul Islam, Executive Director of Walton Plaza Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the corporate head office of Walton Plaza.

The customers have to display the QR code in their bKash app at the store and have it scanned to complete the payment. They can also make the payment by dialing USSD channel *247#, then select the ‘3’ for payment option followed by some interactive steps to complete the payment.

Among others, Md. Mahbub Sobhan, Head of M-Commerce, Ahasanul Kabir, Channel Manager and Molla Abul Bashar, Account Manager of bKash and Eva Rizwana, Executive Director and Chief Coordinator of Marketing, S M Zahid Hasan, Executive Director (Policy, HR & Admin) and Senior Deputy Director Md. Abul Bashar Uzzal of Walton, were present during the signing ceremony.

Launched in 2011, bKash, a joint venture of BRAC Bank, US based Money in Motion, International Finance Corporation of World Bank Group, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and China based Ant Financial(Ali Pay) , an affiliate of Alibaba Group offers broad range of mobile financial services to the common people of Bangladesh.

Walton Plaza is the sales outlet of Walton Bangladesh, the largest electronic, electric, home appliances product of Bangladesh.  Walton also exports products in Naigeria, Sudan, Ghana, South Africa, Myanmer, Nepal etc.
