For the first time, Farhana Mili is going to work in a play adapted from a novel titled “Akjon Mayaboti” by Humayun Ahmed. In the play, she share the screen with Mahfuz Ahmed.
Mili said: “I have seen the television plays by Humayun sir. But I did not get a chance to work with him.”
“There was always a fear in me that how Humayun sir would have worked. In the first day of shooting, Shaon came and the cast and crew discussed about the way he worked and I listened and try to do things the way he liked,” she said.
“It is our effort that the TV play would do proper justice to the novel,” she added.
The plot of the story revolves around a small town struggling girl who seeks for a job. Her boss appoints her as she is in need of money. Out of gratefulness, she cares for her boss and the story takes different manner.
“‘Shunno Theke Shuru’” is another TV play where the audience would get to see the actress in a different getup.
“Here I am a rebellious character, having a straight forward personality. I am playing the role of a university girl where me and my friends get involved in a drug addicted gang,” Mili said.
About another TV play “Dohon,” the actress said: “I am playing in the role of a sex worker in Dohon.
“I spend ample amount of time with a man I love. At the end the man wishes to marry me by purchasing from my boss.“
Mili is also taking part in the shooting for “Ujan Ganger Naiyaa-season 2.”and “Tini Ashen.”
After working for “Monpura” Mili did not work for any silver screen. She is looking for such script that the audience can replace Moni and see Mili in another character.
“To work in films much preparations are needed,” she said.
The actress said she misses acting on stage as it gives her a platform to develop her acting skills.
Audience will see Mili in a TV play titled Anonter Pakhi on Independence day.
