Dhallywood superstar Apu Biswas has sparked fresh conversations across the industry with a candid confession about her personal life. In a recent interview, the actress described her high-profile marriage as a “wrong decision,” attributing it to youthful impulse.
The revelation has sent ripples through her fanbase, as Apu traditionally keeps a low profile regarding her private affairs. Reflecting on the past, she admitted that getting married at such a young age, driven purely by emotion, was a significant error in judgment.
“No woman should make a life-altering decision like marriage until they have reached a certain level of emotional maturity,” Apu remarked during the interview.
A Secret Union and Public Fallout
Apu’s comments reference her turbulent history with Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan. The duo tied the knot in a secret ceremony on April 18, 2008. They managed to keep the union hidden for nine years until 2017, when Apu famously appeared on a live television broadcast with their son to reveal the truth.
The marriage, however, did not survive the public scrutiny, ending in a formal divorce on March 12, 2018. Their son, Abraham Khan Joy, currently lives with Apu but frequently visits his father and grandparents during school holidays and festivals.
Lessons Learned and Professional Growth
Despite the regrets, the actress emphasized that she has evolved. Describing herself as far more “mature” and “professional” than her younger self, Apu stated that she is no longer governed by the same raw emotions that once dictated her choices.
When pressed about the possibility of a second marriage, the actress maintained a cryptic stance. “I am not in a position to answer such questions right now,” she said, leaving fans speculating whether a new chapter remains a possibility in the future.
On the Horizon
While she has been less frequent on the silver screen lately, Apu remains a powerhouse in the commercial world through brand endorsements and social media presence.
