700+ Students Joins RUET CSE Fest 2K22 with Innovative Ideas

RUET CSE Fest, one of the biggest tech carnivals for the enthusiastic mega minds of Bangladesh, attracts more than two thousand students this year. Among all those applications, the juries have selected more than 700 students as eligible participants from 70+ universities based on their projects and idea. Huawei, the leading ICT infrastructure provider, is the technology partner of the event.

This year, the RUET CSE FEST 2K22 consists of eight segments with total prize money of over BDT 3,50,000. The segments include Inter-University Programming Contest, Project Showcasing, Idea/Poster Contest, Line Follower Robot, Gaming Contest, Tech Photo Exhibition, Quiz Contest, and Workshop in association with IEEE. With utmost enthusiasm to learn and attain new skills, students from different universities across the country registered for the event that started on April 16, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Md. Al Mamun, Head of CSE Department, RUET, shares, “We are overwhelmed to have witnessed the spontaneous participation of students from across the nation. Their enthusiasm has surpassed our expectations, and the ideas they have entered with are full of possibilities. Youth are the future of the country, and it is our responsibility to properly nurture their talent and guide them in the right direction. RUET has always prioritized youth development and will continue to do so with similar initiatives with the support of companies like Huawei, who also share the same responsibility.”

Yuying Karl, Head of Public Affairs and Communications Department, Huawei Bangladesh, said, “Huawei believes in youth’s talent as they are the architecture of the better tomorrow. Hence, we have invested ourselves in developing the youth in the countries we operate. Bangladeshi youths, on numerous occasions, demonstrated their potential with innovative ideas and indomitable courage. Huawei’s vision is to build a fully connected, intelligent world, and youth can play an instrumental role in achieving this vision. Hence, we always strive to be a part of different programs that support the youth to gather knowledge and develop wisdom. This is why we have decided to be a part of RUET CSE FEST 2K22 as the technology partner. We hope that with our continuous partnerships and efforts, Huawei will be able to aid in the journey of transformation from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh.”

Huawei has always contributed to the development of a sound ICT ecosystem in Bangladesh. Over the years, Huawei has also helped the country reap the benefits of digital transformation through different initiatives such as the Seeds for the Future and Bangladesh ICT Skills Competition. Apart from this, Huawei has been making a consistent contribution to the educational and ICT sector of Bangladesh through various initiatives. This time, as a technology partner to RUET CSE FEST 2K22, Huawei is aligning with its philosophy of fostering a digitized and healthy ICT environment for everyone.
The winners of this program will be announced on June 04 with an inauguration program where Prof. Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sheikh, Vice-Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology will be present as Chief Guest and many other renowned faculties from different universities are expected to be present.
