2nd session of Junior Software Academy ends successfully

Samsung Bangladesh successfully conducted the 2 nd session of Junior Software Academy at SRBD (Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh). The 2 nd session ended on 09 August, 2019.
Students received IT training on various technological topics such as Coding, Programming, including
basic education for computer hardware & internet, and many more. They also learned about the history
of Samsung, received basic Samsung product knowledge and learnt about Android open source system.
Students also learned to implement their knowledge by using basic coding tools to develop software.
They received certificates upon the completion of the course.
Samsung Bangladesh collaborated with two recognized NGOs- EduCo and SOS, and through them 30
unprivileged high school students from grade 6 – 10 were participated in the 2 nd session of Junior
Software Academy. Classes were held every Friday at SRBD. Notably SRBD houses approx. 400 Samsung
R&D engineers.
Seungwon Youn, Managing Director, Samsung Bangladesh commented, “We are extremely happy to
conduct the 2nd session of Junior Software Academy for Bangladeshi students. This knowledge will not
only help them in their future education but will also ignite a passion for technology and innovative
ideas. We want to help make Bangladesh a technological giant in the future and we believe that the
youth of today will play the most vital role for the future of this country.”
