Bangladesh Government’s ICT Division & Huawei jointly have provided free ICT training to more than 21,000 girl students in remote rural areas of Bangladesh in last 3 years.
Together they have trained this huge number of girls in total 1,226 sessions through two digital mobile training buses.
In 2015, ICT Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology signed an agreement with world’s leading ICT provider, Huawei & telecom operator Robi Axiata for three-year long ICT training project.
The training program has been operated in different remote rural areas of the country through six digital mobile training buses, fully equipped with modern ICT training facilities.
Huawei has operated two digital mobile training buses dedicatedly, called ‘PADMA’ & ‘RUPSA’. Huawei has provided free ICT training to 21,238 girl students in remote rural areas of Bangladesh through ‘PADMA’ & ‘RUPSA’ in last three years.
The main purpose of the project is to disseminate information technology knowledge among the rural females to help them to be self-dependent in the future.
