Xiaomi Recognized as the No. 1 Mobile Handset Brand in Bangladesh for the Second Consecutive Year

Xiaomi has been awarded as the No. 1 mobile handset brand in Bangladesh for the second consecutive year. The recognition was conferred at the 17th ‘Best Brand Award 2025’, organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum on Saturday, where Xiaomi secured the top position in the Mobile Handset category. On behalf of Xiaomi Bangladesh, the award was received by Liu Chang, Deputy Country Manager and Md. Asaduzzaman, Marketing Director of the company.

With this achievement, Xiaomi has earned the distinction of being the country’s leading mobile handset brand for two years in a row, further strengthening its leadership position in Bangladesh’s highly competitive smartphone market.

Commenting on the achievement, Md. Asaduzzaman, Marketing Director of Xiaomi Bangladesh said, ‘Receiving this recognition for the second consecutive year is a great honor for us and reflects the trust and love of Xiaomi fans in Bangladesh. In the coming year, we aim to serve our users with a diverse range of AIoT products, reaffirming that Xiaomi is not just a smartphone brand but a comprehensive technology brand. This recognition will further inspire us to move forward.’

Since entering the Bangladeshi market, Xiaomi has experienced a remarkable journey marked by rapid growth, strong consumer trust, and widespread popularity across urban and rural areas alike. By introducing feature-rich smartphones at accessible price points, expanding its official retail presence, and offering reliable after-sales support, Xiaomi has successfully built a strong connection with millions of users. Over the years, the brand has played a key role in democratizing technology in Bangladesh, making innovation more inclusive and affordable for everyone.

The Best Brand Award was initiated by Bangladesh Brand Forum to recognize and inspire both local and international brands operating in Bangladesh. To determine the best brands of the year, nSearch conducted a nationwide survey across all divisional cities and rural areas, engaging 12,400 male and female respondents. The research was conducted based on two key considerations: in-category evaluation based on brand equity index through a distinct model and cross-category harmonization with a multiplicative model to align category-relevant parameters across segments.

Xiaomi’s success has been significantly driven by the popularity of its Redmi Note series. Building on this experience, the brand is set to launch the next-generation Note series in Bangladesh in the coming year, generating excitement among its fans.
