Unemployed youth gets Tk 5 lakh buying Walton fridge

Md. Sumon, an unemployed youth of Begumganj Upazila in Noakhali, has got Tk 5 lakh after purchasing a Walton brand refrigerator under the company’s nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season-6.

Country’s renowned film actor Symon Sadik handed over the cheque worth of Tk 5 lakh to Md. Suman at a splendid programme held at the premises of the Bazra Primary School under the Sonaimuri Thana of Noakhali on March 2, 2020.

The cheque handover ceremony was attended, among others, by  Bazra Union Parishad Chairman Miron Or Rashid, Apex Club of Chowmuhani’s president Yasin Sumon, Walton field manager Md. Rayhan and Nazrul Islam, proprietor of Walton’s distributor ‘Famous Electronics’.

Mentionable, Walton has been conducting digital campaign across the country for more than two years aimed at making customers’ database through registering and storing customer name, phone number and model number of the purchased products on Walton’s server. The database will help customers getting quick after sales service from any Walton service center even if the warranty card is lost. Service center representatives can also get customers’ feedback.

Considering the customers’ huge response to the campaign, Walton started the campaign’s Season-6 on February 20, 2020 with some special benefits for the customers.

In Season-6, everyday customers of Walton fridge, TV and AC could have been awarded Tk 35 lakh worth of different amounts’ cash vouchers. In a single day, a customer could get maximum Tk 5 lakh in cash. In addition, each customer will get different amounts of cash vouchers.

Once, Sumon went to Qatar in a bid to change his future. But he returned home with an empty hand after 29-month as no work was available in the company he worked for.

His father is a security guard of a private bank in Noakhali. Recently, Sumon bought a Walton refrigerator from Famous Electronics, a distributor of Walton in Begumganj. And then, his refrigerator has been registered. After a while, he received an SMS of getting Tk 5 lakh award for purchasing and registering Walton refrigerator under the company’s Digital Campaign Season-6. Expressing his reaction, Sumon said, “My luck has been changed with getting this money. Thanks Walton.”
